Lee Yi-kyung: Father Tried to Prevent Gay Film with Money, Wanted to Marry All His Ex?

On January 20, Lee Yi-kyung appeared in a video published on YouTube channel @zzanbro.
Here, the actor mentioned how he grew up rich, saying, “My father was the president of L Corporation and later became the president of a university. It’s true that I grew up without lacking anything. However, my father opposed my acting career.”
He then shared an anecdote, confessing, “I once acted in a gay film. I kept it a secret from my family, but my father found the script at home and caused an uproar.”
“The script contained the word ‘sex,’ and my father told me to come home immediately, saying he’d cover the production costs compensation. But to me, his words felt like an insult. I told him, ‘Dad, I’ve served in the military, I’m an adult, and shouldn’t you ask why I made this choice before saying that?’”, Lee Yi-kyung added.

In the same episode, Lee Yi-kyung also mentioned his ex-lovers, saying, “I wanted to marry all of my girlfriends. I thought I would get married when I was in my 20s. I still didn’t know that I would get married when my life is nearing 40. Why didn’t I get married yet?”
Meanwhile, previously, Lee Yi-kyung drew attention for maintaining a good relationship with his ex-lover. In particular, he even directly mentioned actress Jung In-sun, who he publicly dated, in an award acceptance speech.
